The Cramps were an American rock band formed in 1976 by Lux Interior (vocals) and Poison Ivy (guitar), who remained the only permanent members until their split in 2009 after Interior's death. Known as pioneers of psychobilly, the band fused punk rock and rockabilly with a campy, B-movie aesthetic and a primal, bluesy sound.
