The buyer’s right of withdrawal
Purchasing from a Pro seller covers your order with Vinted’s refund policy, and ensures you have the legal right of withdrawal, which means:
- You can return items for any reason and get a refund (except if they fall within the exceptions of the right of withdrawal)
- You get 14 days from receiving an order* to decide if you’d like to return it
- You get another 14 days to send the return after you’ve expressed your wish to return the order
*These 14 days are counted from the day after you receive the order. Also, if the right of withdrawal ends on a weekend or a public holiday, the last day is extended to the end of the next business day instead.
To return an order via Vinted, press “I have an issue” in the conversation for an ongoing order and follow the steps to start the return.
If you don’t want to return the order via Vinted, you can exercise your right of withdrawal by informing the Pro seller that you wish to return the order. You could either message them stating this, or send them a completed return form from the Vinted Pro Terms and Conditions.
Note that if you return the order outside of Vinted, you’ll need to arrange your own shipping and ensure that the parcel returns safely. We won’t be liable for any potential shipping issues in this case.
If the Pro seller is unresponsive after you’ve decided to return the item, we can help facilitate the return.
To get help from our support team:
- Go to the conversation with the seller
- Press View issue details
- Press Contact us at the end of the page.
Make sure to do this within 14 days of receiving the order. We’ll ensure that you can start sending the return. Once the seller receives the return and confirms that everything is OK with the returned items, you’ll get a refund.
NoteIf the 14 days are over, we won’t be able to facilitate your right of withdrawal. However, if the Pro seller’s additional policies allow for a longer return period, you and the seller can still agree on the return and refund outside of Vinted.
If you reported an issue but then decided to keep the order instead, press “Cancel & keep order” to complete the order.
Your right of withdrawal doesn’t apply if the item falls under a legal exception, such as:
- An item that was personalised or custom-made for you
- An item that was sold sealed but has been opened and can’t be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons, like underwear or a swimsuit
- Sealed audio or video recordings, or sealed computer software that has been opened
