This is an official Score Draw shirt Adult size small This shirt is in perfect condition Chelsea of the 1960s was a different Chelsea to the one of today. Going into their first FA Cup Final against Leeds United, Chelsea had one solitary league championship in 1954/1955 and one League Cup in 1965 to show for their first 65 years of existence. Chelsea had lost two FA Cup Finals before, in 1915 and again in 1967. Their opponents, Leeds United, had won their first league title in 1969 and would finish outside the top 3 just once in the next 5 seasons, winning another league title in 1974. Leeds had also won a League Cup in 1968 and would also win an FA Cup in 1972. Leeds were heavy favourites. Chelsea lined up with England international, Peter Bonetti, in goal, captain and record appearance holder Ron Harris in defence and Peter Osgood in attack. Bobby Tambling, Chelsea’s record goalscorer until he was overtaken by Frank Lampard, was left out altogether, before he left that summer. Leeds United lined up with captain Billy Bremner, Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter and Peter Lorimer. Leeds took a 20th minute lead that was cancelled out before half time. With the game petering out for a 1-1 draw, 2 goals in 2 crazy minutes saw Leeds re-take the lead in the 84th minute only to be begged back again in the 86th minute. The match was replayed 18 days later, where David Webb scored an extra time winner after a 1-1 draw in normal time, winning Chelsea their first ever FA Cup. Chelsea would go on to win the 1971 Cup Winner’s Cup Final with a win over Real Madrid, but would not win another major trophy until why won the FA Cup again in 1997 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Please message for international shipping 🌍 #chelsea #football #footballshirt #scoredraw
